There’s been little movement for the past year, but now it looks as if the wrinkles in the ticking-clock script have finally been ironed out, and Jack Bauer will son be returning not to TV, but the big screen, as the 24 movie is now officially scheduled to begin filming early next year.

Mark Bomback (Unstoppable) is expected to hand in the latest draft of the script (coming from a story originally conceived by State of Plan’s Billy Ray) in the next few weeks, before filming can finally begin in April, and once again bring Keifer Sutherland back to play the unstoppable CTU agent Jack Bauer; who, according to rumour, will be taking on terrorists in Europe, in the film which at this point, is still lacking a director.
