With a number of impressive soundtrack events already planned; such as Gladiator Live (at the end of May), Independence Day Live (with a pre-film talk from David Arnold on Sep 22), and Jurassic Park In Concert (at the beginning of November); The Royal Albert Hall have just added another exceptionally exciting event to their line-up – Aliens Live.

Yes, The Royal Albert Hall will be screening James Cameron’s classic 1986 sci-fi/action/horror movie (which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year), accompanied by Jame’s Horner’s score being performed by a live orchestra.

Due to be conducted by Ludwig Wicki, and performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, James Horner’s memorable score will be accompanying the theatrical cut of the 1986 Oscar-winning film (nominated for seven Academy Awards, including Best Music, it eventually picked up two golden statues); a sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1979 Alien, widely regarded as one of the greatest action films ever released.

Tickets go on sale at 10am Thursday Feb 18th (today), and are expected to sell through fast – with the singular screening of Aliens Live taking place on Saturday November 6th.

You can find a short trailer for the event below, and click through to the Royal Albert Hall website here.
