While the 500 Days of Summer director’s first effort in the superhero genre may have gone down well with the majority of fans (though not according to our review), it now looks as if Marc Webb will not be returning for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for a number of reasons.
While there’s been some chatter recently about Webb’s lack of desire to helm the already planned sequel, Columbia Pictures president Doug Belgrad recently told The Hollywood Reporter that although they’d “really like him back”, “there are obstacles” because “he has an obligation to Fox.”
