Following a CIA black ops recruit (O’Brien) as he’s trained by a deadly Cold War veteran (Keaton), and both are ultimately chosen to investigate a wave of seemingly random attacks which eventually pit them against a mysterious operative (Kitsch), American Assassin promises to be a dark and engaging thriller, weaving a global web of conspiracy, interspersed with plenty of action, when it’s released in UK cinemas on 15 September.
