Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy (aka Anchorman’s Will Ferrell) recently appeared on the Conan O’Brien talk show, and made the announcement that fans have been waiting years to hear; there will be an Anchorman 2.
Ferrell will once again return as San Diego’s premier news anchor, in the sequel that he will write, and Adam McKay will once again direct, for Paramount Pictures. Steve Carrell (The Office) and Paul Rudd (Role Models) will both be returning as well, and although no plot details have been released as yet (Ferrell and McKay are still working on script details), Anchorman 2 will begin filming next February.
