57 years after the release of the epic Charlton Heston movie, we’re getting another big screen remake of the classic Ben-Hur story, and you can now watch the official Ben-Hur trailer below and see the film’s official poster on the right (click to view full size).
Directed by Timur Bekmambetov (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter), this latest adaptation of Lew Wallace’s novel Ben-Hur: A Tale Of The Christ places Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire) in the titular role of a prince who’s falsely accused of treason by his adoptive, Roman army officer, brother (Toby Kebbell, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), separated from the love of his life and thrown into slavery before a shipwreck and wise words from Ilderim (Morgan Freeman, Hard Rain) give him a shot a the revenge he craves.
Ben-Hur is due to be released on August 12th in the US, before making its official UK release date on August 26th.
