Boardwalk Empire Season 2 Exclusive Clip

Coming from The Sopranos writer Terence Winter, as well as producers Martin Scorsese and Mark Wahlberg, Boardwalk Empire has become not only a flagship show of Sky Atlantic, but one of the biggest and best shows currently airing on HBO (which, given the network has produced The Sopranos, The Wire, Entourage, and A Game of Thrones, is no mean feat), and has just had its second season released on Blu-ray and DVD, and in order to celebrate we’ve an exclusive clip from Boardwalk Empire’s second season available to view below.

Now a multi-award-winning series, Boardwalk Empire stars Steve Buscemi (Reservoir Dogs) as Atlantic City treasurer/bootlegging kingpin Nucky Thompson; a man who controls the wealth and fate of the entire city, and flies in the face of the recently enacted prohibition laws by running a hugely successful bootlegging operation which supplies not only his fair city, but, in part, New York, and Chicago.

Season 2 finds Nucky threatened in more ways than one however; while the going may have been good at the start of the first season, and the introduction of prohibition, Nucky’s so-called friends and family members have bandied together to try and not only force him out of office (with accusations of vote-rigging brining the possibility of jail-time with them), but topple his illegal activities as well (cutting off both his finances, and potentially seeing the life of the former high-flyer cut irrevocably short).

With more award-winning performances, gripping storylines, excellent action, writing, and some of the best production values you’re likely to see on a TV show, not to mention a cast which includes not only Steve Buscemi, but The Dreamers’ Michael Pitt, WarGames’ Dabney Coleman, Machete’s Shea Whigham, Snatch’s Stephen Graham, Brave’s Kelly Macdonald, and Man of Steel’s Michael Shannon, Boardwalk Empire is the very definition of must see TV.

Boardwalk Empire Season 2 is out now on Blu-ray and DVD.
