Bradley Cooper Is An American Sniper

Movies about Navy SEALs are proving to be pretty popular at the minute, and so it should come as no surprise to learn that ex-SEAL Chris Kyle’s autobiography; American Sniper: The Autobiography Of The Most Lethal Sniper In US Military History; is being adapted into a new film, with The Hangover’s Bradley Cooper taking the lead role.

Cooper’s own production company is developing the film, from a Jason Dean Hall (Spread) script, which traces the career of the man who scored the highest recorded number of kills for an American sniper, but saw his dedication to his fellow SEALs begin to take its toll on his marriage.

There’s no set release date, or director attached, as yet, though anyone looking to see Bradley Cooper on screen again soon can do so when he appears in The Words, The Place Beyond The Pines, Silver Linings Playbook, or when he gets back to more familiar territory with The Hangover Part 3 (which is due to begin filming this fall).
