Brave: Images From Pixar’s New Movie

There’s still a long way to go before we see the latest movie from Pixar enter our cinemas, but the animation powerhouse have just given Empire a couple of new images from it’s new film Brave (now available to view below).

Set in the Highlands of Medieval Scotland, Brave follows a young princess named Merida (Kelly Macdonald, Boardwalk Empire), who defies an age old custom, and accidentally sparks fury when she turns to an old witch (Julie Walters, Harry Potter) for help, and soon realizes she’ll have to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late.

Billy Connolly (The Last Samurai) and Emma Thompson (Love Actually) will voice Merida’s parents, with additional talent being supplied by Robbie Coltrane (From Hell), Kevin McKidd (Rome), and Craig Ferguson (Kick-Ass), but although Brave already looks fantastic and is due to be released on June 22nd in the US, it wont be making its UK release date until August 17th next year.
