Brave Teaser Trailer for Pixar’s Latest

Focussing on a spirited Scottish Princess called Merida (Kelly Macdonald, Boardwalk Empire), Brave; the latest movie from Pixar (the studio who gave the world Toy Story, Monsters Inc., Cars, and more); has just had its first teaser trailer released online (which is now available to view below).

After defying an ancient custom, Merida’s entire kingdom (the one ruled over by her parents King Fergus; voiced by comedian Billy Connolly; and Queen Elinor; voiced by Love Actually’s Emma Thompson) is thrown into chaos, and following the advise of the Wise Woman (Julie Walters, Harry Potter) embarks upon a journey to put things right.

While the newly released trailer doesn’t really give any indication of how that plot will play out, it’s a showcase of just how far Pixar’s animation has come over the past few years, and features some amazing scenes of the Scottish countryside; of which there will hopefully be many more, when Brave is released in the US on June 22nd 2012, and makes its UK release date on August 17th 2012.
