Universal spared no expense…
In news which was completely expected, and all but official anyway, we now know that stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be returning for the upcoming Jurassic World sequel.
Hardly surprising, given not only the franchise potential, the bankability of the stars, and the fact Jurassic World recently became the third highest grossing film of all time (climbing above Marvel’s Avengers, with $1.5 billion in the bank so far), Universal are eager to get a sequel off the ground. Though there’s very little known about the specifics thus far.
No plot details have been given, it’s still lacking a director (as Colin Trevorrow previously said he would not be returning for the sequel), and it doesn’t even have an official title as yet, but what Jurassic World 2 does have, officially, is a new release date; June 22nd 2018.
