Christopher Nolan Entering The Twilight Zone?

He’s busy filming The Dark Knight Rises at the minute, but as writer/director Christopher Nolan has given Warner Bros. not only his hugely successful and acclaimed Batman film series, but also the very successful Inception, it should come as no surprise that he’s now listed as one of the top names on Warner’s wishlist to direct their upcoming big screen adaptation of the classic TV series, The Twilight Zone.

Leonardo DiCaprio (who worked with Nolan on Inception) is producing the film; which has been written by Jason Rothenberg (Body Politic), and is keeping most of its plot a fairly guarded secret (despite hinting that it will touch on themes from the original series, and will follow a single storyline rather than several); though it’s not simply a case of waiting for Nolan to accept the gig at this point, as a number of other fairly big names have also been listed as possible contenders for the directors chair.

Michael Bay (Transformers), Alfonso Cuaron (Children of Men), Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), and David Yates (who’sHarry Potter work has also proved popular for Warner Bros. in the past) have also been mentioned as possible directors for The Twilight Zone, and while it remains to be seen who will actually walk away with the job, it looks as though almost wherever it lands The Twilight Zone should be in capable hands.
