Coming from In Bruges writer/director Martin McDonagh, Seven Psychopaths follows a screenwriter who’s struggling to complete his latest script (titled Seven Psychopaths), and has a cast that includes Colin Farrell (The Way Back), Sam Rockwell (Iron Man 2), and Christopher Walken (Pulp Fiction).
Farrell will play the screenwriter who, along with two of his friends (Rockwell and Walken), kidnaps a Shih Tzu belonging to a local gangster, and suddenly finds all the inspiration and drama he needs to complete his Seven Psychopaths screenplay; the only problem being whether or not he can stay alive long enough to finish it.
Mickey Rourke (The Expendables) is also slated to appear in the movie, which at this time doesn’t have a confirmed release date, but is currently in the process of being purchased by CBS Films; who will co-finance the film, and pick up the distribution rights, with the hope of releasing it in the US sometime next year.
