Deadpool First Look At Ryan Reynolds Suit

The hype machine has been well and truly building for Marvel’s upcoming Deadpool movie, and largely fuelled by its extremely enthusiastic star via a series of well-timed, perfectly teasing, Tweets; the latest of which can be seen on the right; a picture of Deadpool imitating Burt Reynolds, posing on bearskin rug in front of a fire for your… pleasure.

With Ryan Reynolds once again picking up the part of Deadpool (after a jaded turn in X-Men Origins: Wolverine which was rightfully blamed on everyone but Reynolds) and stepping into the anti-hero’s first solo-outing; courtesy of an overwhelming influx of positive reaction to leaked footage last year; fans will be hoping both he and director Tim Miller (usually known for his effects and second unit work)  finally manage to bring a fan-pleasing, comic-book-accurate, version of the snarky Merc with a Mouth to the big screen.

As a character he’s an ex-Special Forces operative who was experimented on, given healing powers (similar to Wolverine), and now spends his time hunting down the men who scarred him and almost took his life, as well as taking on numerous other bad guys along the way.

Currently filming in Vancouver and co-starring Ed Skrein (The Sweeney), T.J. Miller (How To Train Your Dragon 2), Gina Carano (Haywire), and Morena Baccarin (Homeland), there’s relatively little known about the plot of the film, although we do know it’s due to be released on February 12th next year in both the US and UK.
