Ever met a person who’s seen Deadpool and didn’t like? No. Of course not. It’s awesome, so awesome in fact it’s now officially the highest grossing R-rated movie of all time (overtaking the $742 million record held by The Matrix Reloaded since 2003)
Worldwide totals are currently tracking just under the $750 million mark (a hugely impressive number for a film which cost less than $60 million to make), and still has the potential to climb higher. Yet if we look at US figures alone Deadpool is still lagging behind both American Sniper and The Passion Of The Christ for the title of biggest R-rated film (by about $21m).
