Die Hard 5 Gets John Moore as a Director

He had his first outing a full 23 years ago (back in 1988), and after single-handedly defeating a skyscraper full of terrorists, defeating an airport full of terrorists, playing the toughest game of Simon Says ever conceived, and even taking the fight to some cyber-terrorists and a fighter jet, John McClane will soon be headed back to cinema screens in Die Hard 5; which has just scored John Moore as its director.

Moore is best known for directing Max Payne, and will be shooting the fifth (as yet untitled) Die Hard movie from a Skip Woods (Swordfish) script that is suggested to be a passing-of-the-torch movie that could eventually see McClane’s, yet to be cast, son take over as the franchise’s leading man, though for now that duty still rests firmly with the vest-wearing Bruce Willis.

Little else is known about Die Hard 5; there’s no official start date, release date, or officially cast bad guy as yet; though it has been suggested that the next installment of the franchise will be sending John; a New York cop who’s clearly the unluckiest man on the planet; to Russia.
