Django Unchained Featuring Tarantino Cameo

Known for taking small roles in his own movies (see Reservoir Dogs, and his turn as Jimmie in Pulp Fiction) it now sounds as if Quentin Tarantino will again be stepping in front of the camera for his much anticipated spaghetti western; Django Unchained.

Apparently getting very into his own work, Rex Linn (who’s best known for playing Palmer on The Walking Dead) said “Quentin told me he liked the scene so much he wanted to be in it too, and that he would also be taking some of my lines”, and that although “the scene may not be long, you will remember them” and “you’ll know the scenes when you see them.”

The pair will appear in the scenes alongside Don Johnson (Machete) and Jonah Hill (The Sitter), in the film which follows the titular freed slave Django (Jamie Foxx, Law Abiding Citizen) as he teams up with a German bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz, Inglorious Basterds) to take down his targets, and free Django’s wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington, Ray) from the clutches of the sadistic ranch owner Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio, Shutter Island), and his right-hand slave Stephen (Samuel L. Jackson, Pulp Fiction).

Co-starring James Remar (Dexter), Walton Goggins (Justified), Bruce Dern (Monster), Amber Tamblyn (127 Hours), and Zoe Ball (Inglorious Basterds), Django Unchained is due to be released on Christmas Day (December 25th) in the US, but won’t be making its official UK release date until January 18th.
