Django Unchained Trailer and Images

It’s one of the most eagerly anticipated films currently in development (and easily the most anticipated movie which isn’t part of an already established franchise), and looks to offer exactly what we all thought it would (an A-list cast, cowboys, action, and the trademark black humour we’ve come to expect from this filmmaker); judging from the first trailer to Django Unchained (now available to view below).

Coming from Quentin Tarantino (the man who gave the world Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Inglorious Basterds) Django Unchained tells a revenge tale about a freed slave named Django (Jamie Foxx, The Kingdom) who teams up with a bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz, Inglorious Basterds) to take on the ruthless plantation Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio, Inception), and free his wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washintgton, Ray) from slavery.

Also starring Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction), Kurt Russell (Escape From New York), Don johnson (Machete), Walton Goggins (Justified), and James Remar (Dexter), Django Unchained was filmed, in part, on the set once used for HBO’s brilliant western drama Deadwood, and is due to be released on Christmas Day in the US, but won’t be making its official UK release date until January 18th 2013.
