After the sudden departure of Dark Shadows writer Seth Grahame-Smith left The Flash without a director last month, we now know who’s going to be bringing the Scarlett Speedster to the big screen; Dope director Rick Famuyiwa.

Set to direct from Grahame-Smith’s script (though likely with a few tweaks), Rick will be charged with tackling the first solo outing for The Flash, but the character’s third time on the big screen; having been introduced (briefly) in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and scheduled to appear as part of the the Justice League in the first Justice League film (which is filming now).

The Flash is due to be released in 2018.
