Eli Roth and Bruce Willis remaking Death Wish

While the 1974 original, starring Charles Bronson, spawned a successful franchise and has become a true cult classic, Hostel director Eli Roth thinks it’s time to remake Death Wish; as he’s just taken over directing duties from Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado (the Big Bad Wolves directors who left the film over creative differences).

Based on Brian Garfield’s novel of the same name, the Death Wish remake will once again see a wise pacifist abandoning his peaceful life, when a violent crime committed against his wife and daughter turns him into a violent vigilante on a quest for revenge, and is still set to star Die Hard‘s Bruce Willis in Bronson’s former role.
