A well known, and swiftly growing, secret amongst film fans, Secret Cinema host some of the most elaborate, inviting, and enjoyable cinematic experiences available, something they’re hoping to continue with their latest offering; special screenings of the timeless classic Back To The Future; which have proved so popular, that the folks over at Secret Cinema have now added extra dates to accommodate the adoring fans who couldn’t get tickets last week.

After announcing the Back To The Future screenings (which will form the biggest live cinema event the world has ever seen), demand was always going to be high, but nothing could have prepared the organisers for the sheer scale of the demand; which crashed the tickets sales system on Wednesday June 4th, was reopened the following day, and saw an amazing 42,000 tickets sold in a mere 4 hours; leaving every single date completely sold out.

But, not ones to let their adoring fans down, the Secret Cinema have now announced a series of extra dates for the Back To The Future event; running from August 14th, until August 31st (adding to the original, already extensive, July 24th-August 10th timeline), with tickets going on sale at 1pm Wednesday June 11th.

And again, not an organisation to do things by halves (as anyone who’s attended any of the secret screenings to date; such as The Shawshank Redemption, Blade Runner, or Alien; will attest), this will not simply be a pop-up cinema screening an amazing film, but a complete experience; as they’re recreating Hill Valley especially for the screenings!

Yes. That’s right. Not only could you experience the joy of seeing the biggest movie of 1985, Back To The Future, back on the big screen, but you could actually do so from a recreation of Hill Valley (the town in the movie).

Being rebuilt at a secret London location, Secret Cinema aims to transport attendees back into the world of Hill Valley; both in 1985, and 1955, with secret alleys and entrances throughout the town allowing guests to travel between timezones, and even experience the 2015 Hill Valley; fully immersing guests in the Back To The Future world in the first half of the evening, before the screening of the classic 80s film, and extra surprise elements fill the rest of the night.

There will also be a secret after party venue, where you can attend the infamous ‘Enchantment Under The Sea’ Prom, and a Battle of the Bands contest taking place each night to determine who will play on stage, and at a mere £53 for a standard ticket (£25 for children, with family rates available), the Secret Cinema presents Back to the Future event is a must for any fan of the film, immersive cinema, or film in general.
