Fast 6 & 7 Shooting Back-to-Back

Fast Five did impressive business worldwide (many would argue largely thanks to the injection of testosterone that came from introducing Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Jonhson into the cast) and its success has led Universal to accelerate the development of a sixth movie as quickly as possible, and even plan on shooting both Fast Six and Fast Seven back-to-back.

Director Justin Lin (who’s helmed the last few Fast & Furious movies) has already had to abandon his plans to direct Terminator 5 in order to stay attached to Fast Six, and Wanted writer Chris Morgan is currently busy churning out story ideas that can be stretched over two films, ready for Fast Six and Seven to begin shooting next May; with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, The Rock and more all expected to return.
