First Image From Silent Hill: Revelation

Aside from the film’s stunning visuals the fist Silent Hill movie wasn’t especially well received by critics, but went on to become one of the top ten highest grossing video game adaptations ever released; meaning that a sequel was talked about fairly quickly, put into motion, and has now just had its first image released online (which can be seen below).

Following the story and themes from the first film, the new movie; which has been written, and will be directed, by Solomon Kane’s Michael J. Bassett; will follow a you girl named Heather Mason, who beings to suffer violent nightmares in the run up to her 18th brithday, and is the inexplicably drawn to the ghost-town that is Silent Hill.

Needless to say things go downhill quickly in the town; where Heather (who, along with her father, has always been on the run from her past) soon finds herself transported into the demonic alternate reality, we have all come to know from both the first film, and the video games upon which the movies are based, struggling to find a way to escape.

Adelaide Clemens (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) will be starring as Heather Mason (pictured below), and joined by Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) in Silent Hill: Revelation; which is being filmed in 3D, and doesn’t have a release date as yet, but began filming in Toronto yesterday (March 7th), and will finish shooting on May 6th.
