After the huge successes Tim Burton had with adapting Alice in Wonderland for the big screen, the Beetlejuice director will soon be bringing us another adaptation; as seen with the first official trailer for Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children, available to view below.

Adapted from Ransom Riggs’ book of the same name Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children sees children with strange powers living under the care of Miss Peregrine; a shape-shifting matriarch who Burton describes as “weird Mary Poppins like character – a strong and mysterious person who looks like she could turn into a bird.”

Eva Green (Sin City: A Dame To Kill For) will star as Miss Peregrine, with appearances from Chris O’Dowd (The Program), Terence Stamp (Superman II), Samuel L. Jackson (Kingsman: The Secret Service), and Judi Dench (Skyfall), and a host of young newcomers filling out the film which is to be released in the US on September 30th, before making its official UK release date on October 7th.
