Friday The 13th reboot cancelled

Despite being one of the most iconic horror franchises of all time, the latest Friday The 13th reboot has had its fair share of troubles getting off the ground, yet after a handful of false starts and replacement personnel it looked to be resurrecting itself from the grave. Paramount clearly disagreed, as the studio have indefinitely shut down the film, mere weeks before filming was set to begin.

So far, Paramount have given no official reason for pulling Friday The 13th from its scheduled release in October. The Hollywood Reporter has been informed the film simply wasn’t ready, and rumours also hint to the underperformance of the Rings reboot being a factor, but whatever the reason campers can rest happy knowing Jason won’t be returning for them just yet.
