Last year’s Piranha 3D (a remake of the classic Roger Corman horror movie) was released to surprisingly receptive audiences; who reveled in the film’s corny dialogue, ludicrous plot, and masses of tits and blood; and ever since a sequel was announced, the producers have been promising to introduce much more madness and fun into mix; a promise that looks to be fulfilled with an injection of Gary Busey.
Well known as Hollywood’s resident eccentric/intimidating and slightly psychotic madman, Gary Busey; who’s likely best known for appearing as the bad guy in Lethal Weapon, and an officious ass in Predator 2; will be appearing in an as yet unknown role, alongside the already cast Danielle Panabaker (The Crazies), Matt Bush (Adventureland), Chris Zylka (The Amazing Spider-Man) and David Koechner (Paul).
Already in production in Wilmington, the aptly titled Piranha 3DD is due to be released in the US on November 23rd, ahead of a UK release date of November 25th this year.
