Godzilla Gets Goyer

Best known for his work on comic based movies (including work on the current Batman franchise, Blade, and the upcoming Superman movie; Man of Steel), David S. Goyer has just been hired by Warner Bros. and Legendary pictures to write the script for their latest planned iteration of Godzilla.

Having now replaced writer David Callahan (The Expendables), the studio are clearly hoping that working from Goyer’s eventual script, Monsters’ director Gareth Edwards will be able to create a film that’s much more well received than Roland Emmerich’s (2012) attempt, and possibly even start another lucrative franchise.
