The Hangover Part 2 Becomes Biggest Ever R-Rated Comedy

We knew it was going strong, and despite not being the most original comedy/sequel ever released, going down the darker road has obviously served The Hangover Part 2 well; as it’s continuing to do huge business, and break records; as it’s recently become the highest grossing R-rated comedy of all time.

Starring the cast of the original movie; Bradley Cooper (Limitless), Zach Galifianakis (Due Date), Ed Helms (Cedar Rapids), and Justin Bartha (The Rebound); The Hangover Part 2 takes the lads on another bachelor party they’ll never remember (this time in Thailand), where they once again lose a key member of the wedding party, and have to retrace their steps from the night before in order to find their missing friend and get to the wedding on time, all the while discovering the depraved things they got up to; including acquiring a monkey, a facial tattoo, participating in a riot, shaving someones head, and even indulging in a bit of fun with a Thai prostitute.

The combined gross for The Hangover ($467 million) and The Hangover Part 2 (now over $488) has now passed the $1 billion mark, and still has plenty of chance to rise higher; particularly as it can still be seen in a number of territories (as it’s still going strong in the UK, the US, and a number of other countries), and is yet to open in Spain and Japan.

The Hangover Part 2 is showing at cinemas nationwide, and you can find the film’s trailer here, or read our review of the movie here.
