Hasselhoff Plans to Resurrect Knight Rider

Speaking recently on ITV’s daytime chat show Loose Women, former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff talked of the hopes he has to resurrect one of his most famous, beloved, and truly iconic properties, by becoming the driving force behind a new Knight Rider movie.

The Hoff let it be known that he was truly disappointed to have been left out of NBC’s recent Knight Rider reboot (which lasted a mere 17 episodes), and then let fans know that despite the show’s cancellation, they may still see more from the legendary talking car KITT, when he emphatically stated “I’m trying to get the rights to the movie.”

Not only is David (who played the original TV show’s hero Michael Knight, and travelled the US solving crimes and helping various misfortunate people, along with his talking companion, for a total of 90 episodes) attempting to get the Knight Rider movie rights, but told viewers he’d “produce it, and be in it”; meaning fans may once again see Michael Knight taking down bad guys, and finally get the opportunity to see KITT on the big screen.
