Jack Nicholson in Geriatric Version of The Hangover?

1

LASt VEGAS is being dubbed as a combination of Grumpy Old Men and The Hangover, as Dan Fogelman’s (the man who wrote Cars, Bolt, and an upcoming, untitled, comedy starring Steve Carell) script revolves around a bunch of elderly friends who decide to have one last blowout reunion in Las Vegas, as the last remaining bachelor is about to get married.

The story has the friends being extremely close in the 50’s, but eventually becoming estranged over time, before reuniting to celebrate the fact that Billy is finally getting married. The role of Billy is currently being offered to Jack Nicholson (although there’s no official word on whether he’s inclined to accept or not; but Nicholson’s not usually one to turn down an excuse to party), who would be perfect to play the naive, geriatric, ladies-man that’s finally getting hitched, and causes problems when he and another member of the group (an as yet uncast widower named Paddy) develop a rather large crush on the same female lounge singer.

There’s no word on a release date, or any other cast members (planned or confirmed) as of yet, but as it stands LASt VEGAS has huge potential to be the slightly more adult oriented version of The Hangover, and could be a real success.
