Jason Bateman Joins Vince Vaughn’s New Comedy

Coming from writer/debut director Jeremy Garelick (The Break-Up) Universal’s upcoming comedy; The Insane Laws; is looking to add another funny-man to its cast-list, and has just seen Jason Bateman enter early talks to appear alongside Dodgeball/Wedding Crashers star Vince Vaughn.

Bateman (who’s soon to appear in Horrible Bosses, and The Change-Up, but has proved his worth in comedies such as The Switch, and Arrested Development, and even appeared with Vaughn in The Break-Up) is up for the part of Vaughn’s best friend; with the two playing a couples of mates who’ve proved inseparable since before college, but find their friendship tested when their children begin to fall for each other, and Vaughn’s daughter winds up pregnant.

While a final release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, The Insane Laws in scheduled to begin filming later this year, and will eventually reach our screens sometime in 2013.
