While there may have only been one or two of them that actually looked anything like the Stath himself, a group of bald, stubbly, hardmen, all descended on London last week to attend the first ever “Jason Statham lookalike screening”; in honour of Jason’s latest movie release, Blitz.
Based on the Ken Bruen novel of the same name, Blitz places Statham (The Mechanic) in the role of no-nonsense detective Tom Brant (who’s not afraid to give lawbreakers a friendly slap in order to teach them a lesson), opposite a by-the-book bobby (played by The Bourne Ultimatum’s Paddy Considine), and places them on the trail of a serial killer (The Wire’s Aiden Gillen); who’s specifically targeting police officers.
Blitz is being released tomorrow (September 26th) on Blu-ray
