While we knew Robert Downy Jr.’s Tony Stark/Iron Man would be popping up in the planned standalone Spider-Man movie; Spider-Man: Homecoming; reports are now also stating Jon Favreau (original Iron Man director) will also be reprising his role as Stark’s driver/bodyguard Happy Hogan in the film.

It’s unlikely Jon will receive much screen time (he was never front-and-centre in the Iron Man movies, and as this will be Spidey’s adventure there’s even less of a reason for him to be too involved), but fans will be nevertheless be happy to see Happy back again.

Tom Holland will, of course, be playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man; the role he first played in Captain America: Civil War earlier this year; and will be joined by Michael Keaton (Bridman), Zendaya (the Disney Channel starlet and singer), Marisa Tomei (The Wrestler star who’ll be playing Aunt May), Donald Glover (Community), Angourie Rice (The Nice Guys), and Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), when the Jon Watts (Cop Car) directed Spider-Man: Homecoming is released on July 7 next year.
