Katherine Heigl in One For The Money Poster

Usually confining herself to standard rom-coms such as The Ugly Truth, or 27 Dresses, Katherine Heigl has dipped her toes into the world of action comedy once before (with the less than perfectly received Killers), and is all set to do so again with One For The Money; which has just had its first poster released online (now available to view below).

Based on the best-selling book of the same name by Janet Evanovich, One For The Money places Heigl as Stephanie Plum; a lingerie buyer who loses her job and, becoming desperate for money, decides to become a bail-bondsman for her sleazy cousin (despite the fact that she’s never held a gun before, and doesn’t even have her own handcuffs); and sees her tracking down the man who broke her heart in high school, running into multiple witnesses who all seem to end up dead, and coming into contact with a rather unsavory boxer.

As Stephanie has proven to be such a popular character (across multiple novels by Evanovich), Katherine is going to have her work cut out for her attempting to prove she can perfectly embody the unlikely bondswoman, and become just as compelling as her literary counterpart in a non-rom-com role, when One For The Money is released in the US on January 27th (no UK release date has been scheduled as yet).
