Adding to his ever growing resume (whenever time off from playing Jon Snow in HBO’s Game of Thrones will allow), Kit Harington has just signed on to star in the upcoming thriller Brimstone; taking over the part from Twilight‘s Robert Pattinson (who recently dropped out).
Currently being directed (shooting is already underway) by Martin Koolhoven (Winter in Wartime), Brimstone finds a young woman attempting to outrun her past and a man known as Preacher (Guy Pearce, Iron Man 3).
Kit will be playing an outlaw who forms an integral part of the story, and be joined by Game of Thrones co-star Carice van Houten, in the film which has already seen one major casting change (with Mia Wasikowska dropping out and being replaced by Dakota Fanning), but is pressing on despite lacking a clear release date on either side of the pond.
