Recently, it was announced that Jordan Vogt-Robert’s (The Kings of Summer) Kong: Skull Island had acquired the likes of Brie Larson (The Gambler) and Tom Hiddleston (Thor: The Dark World). Now, Deadline reports there might be a few more impressive names to add to the cast.
Samuel L. Jackson (Avengers: Age of Ultron), John C. Reilly (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Tom Wilkinson (Batman Begins) are all in casting talks for the upcoming action epic. Last month, Birdman‘s Michael Keaton and J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) left the project, and it looks like Legendary have eyed up some more than adequate replacements. While no official characters have been announced, it’s rumoured that Jackson and Reilly will be stepping into the roles Keaton and Simmons bowed out of, with no word at all yet of Tom Wilkinson’s role. Also starring will be Corey Hawkins, who plays Dr. Dre in the forthcoming biopic Straight Outta Compton.
Kong: Skull Island will be released on March 10th, 2017, in both the US and UK.
