Kristen Stewart Not Out Of Huntsman Sequel

Despite widespread reports suggesting that Twilight star Kristen Stewart had been dropped from the planned sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman (which saw her taking on the role of the titular heroine Snow White), it appears as if any accounts stating she had been fired were untrue, and that she may well be appearing in the second Huntsman movie after all.

It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to learn that Universal are pressing ahead with a follow up to their re-imagined fairytale/fantasy flick, as Snow White and the Huntsman more than doubled its rather large budget at the Box Office, but reports of Stewart’s sacking have been widely reported (with reasons ranging from simply saving millions in not having to re-hire her, and her extremely publicized affair with Huntsman director Rupert Sanders), and have even led to Universal co-chair Donna Langley commenting, and stating that Universal “are extremely proud of ‘Snow White and the Huntsman‘ and are currently exploring all options to continue the franchise.”

Langley continued to say that “any reports that Kristen Stewart has been dropped are false”, and in either event it appears as though Sanders will be returning for the Huntsman’s second outing, and Chris Hemsworth will also likely return (as if Stewart is dropped, the franchise will rest on him carrying a Huntsman-only spin-off), and begin filming the next Huntsman movie in July 2013.
