Latest Prometheus Image and Promo

Judging from the slow, but ever-increasing, drip-feed the marketing team behind Prometheus are throwing at the movie-loving world, we’re beginning to see how Ridley Scott’s new movie is connected to, but separate from, his classic Alien movie, and even though the latest image from the film (now available to view below) bears little connection to his previous work (other than the ominous egg shape near the foreground) it, like the recently released promo (also available below), show just how much the technology has moved on since 1979.

Featuring Guy Pearce (Memento) as Peter Weyland the new promo shows the tech-savvy businessman opening a talk for TED and beginning to describe how he wants to change the world, and though Prometheus will take place much further in the future, it appears Weyland achieved his goal, and set in motion the events which will see Prometheus’ team of scientists; Noomi Rapace (Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Sadows), Charlize Theron (Monster), Idris Elba (The Wire), Michael Fassbender (Inglorious Basterds), and Patrick Wilson (Lake House); searching for the origin of mankind, and coming across something rather dark and sinister, when Prometheus is released on June 1st in the UK and on June 8th in the US.
