Lee Pace Joins Prisoner Of War

Lee PaceCurrently starring as the bid bad guy in Marvel’s fantastically fun sci-fi/comedy Guardians Of The Galaxy (reviewed here), and soon to be seen back in Middle Earth as Elf King Thranduil (in The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies, the trailer for which can be seen here), Lee Pace recently signed on to appear in the upcoming sci-fi/action movie Prisoner Of War, replacing the previously cast Alex Russell (Chronicle).

Due to star as an American solider working alongside a French aid work (portrayed by Skyfall’s Bérénice Marlohe) in Africa, Pace will headline the film which sees the entire planet battling against a ravaging alien invasion, and is due to be directed by Joe Miale (a man best known for directing music videos, and the odd straight-to-DVD flick), ahead of an as yet unannounced release date next year.
