Lego Batman Movie, The First Images

We’re expecting the first official trailer to drop on Wednesday, but for now Lego fans are being teased with a handful of wonderfully lit images for the upcoming Lego Batman Movie (available below).

Will Arnett will once again be voicing the character many fell in love with during The Lego Movie, in the stand-alone film which will dive deeper into Bats’ own world (check out the collection of cowls in the Batcave) and provide riffs on each incarnation of The Dark Knight, whilst also showing us what Bruce Wayne does when he’s not out fighting crime.

Aren’t said “I also love getting into the ho-hum day-to-day of being Batman and what it’s like to fight crime each day. Like the idea of Batman oversleeping his alarm clock makes me laugh. It really does humanize him.”

Ralph Fiennes (Hail! Caesar) will be voicing butler Alfred, while Arnett’s Arrested Development co-star Michael Cera will provide the voice of The Boy Wonder, Robin, and Rosario Dawson (currently streaming on Netflix as part of the Daredevil Season 2 cast) will pick up the part of Barbara Gordon (otherwise known here as Batgirl).

The Hangover‘s Zach Galifianakis will voice The Joker, and we’d expect a number of high-profile cameos when the Chris McKay (The Lego Movie) directed film is released on February 10th 2017 in both the US and UK.
