The upcoming Mary Poppins remake, which will star Emily Blunt as the titular character and will be set many years after the original film, has supposedly casted theatre actor Lin-Manuel Miranda for a supporting role.

According to Variety, Miranda is in talks to play Jack, a lamplighter resembling the character of Bert, who was played by Dick Van Dyke in the 1964 classic. Miranda is also a composer and lyricist, and Variety also says that he’ll have some part to play in the movie’s original songs.

The film will apparently take place in Depression-era London, and will take cues from P.L. Travers’ novels focusing on Mary Poppins’ continued adventures with the Banks family. Into the Woods‘ Rob Marshall will be directing the film, as well as producing alongside John DeLuca and Marc Platt.

Miranda helped compose some of the original music for Star Wars: The Force Awakens as well as upcoming animated comedy Moana. He’s best known for creating and starring in Broadway hits Hamilton and In the Heights, the latter winning four Tony Awards.
