Adapted from Michael Connelly’s bestselling crime novel of the same name, the upcoming mystery suspense thriller The Lincoln Lawyer has just had it’s first full trailer released online; a trailer which thoroughly expands on the initial teaser, show’s much more of the supporting cast, and can now be seen below.
Matthew McConaughey (who’s now best known for his rom-com appearances, but delivered a brilliant showing as a lawyer in A Time to Kill) plays Mickey Haller; the titular Lincoln Lawyer, who runs his business from the back of his Lincoln Towncar, usually defending street thugs for minor crimes; and is joined by Ryan Phillippe (Cruel Intentions); as a wealthy playboy who hires Mr. Haller to defend him against upcoming murder charges.
Haller jumps at the chance to earn a bit of extra cash, and defend a worthwhile client, but soon gets dragged into a case that’s far more dangerous than he imagined; as the case begins to unfold, and he starts to believe that his client may in fact be guilty; putting both him and his family in danger.
Brad Furman (The Take) directed the movie which also features Marisa Tomei (The Wrestler), William H. Macy (Wild Hogs), Josh Lucas (A Beautiful Mind), and Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston, and is due to be released on March 18th, in both the U.S. and U.K.
