With the recent release of the film’s first official image (now available to view on the right), the appetite for Steven Spielberg’s (Jurassic Park) upcoming Abraham Lincoln biopic has been fully whetted, and has continued to grow with the release of the first official poster for Lincoln (now available to view below).
Starring Daniel Day Lewis (There Will Be Blood) as the titular president, Honest Abe, the movie is an adaptation of Doris Kearns Goodwin’s book, and will focus on the last four months of the President’s life; which largely revolved around the closing of the US Civil War, and the Emancipation Proclamation (where slavery was outlawed); and is due to be released on November 16th in the US, before making its UK release date on January 25th.
