Mad Max mastermind himself George Miller professed a love for a black-and-white cut of last year’s exceptional action free-for-all Mad Max: Fury Road, which was created during the editing process for the film, and now it appears fans may finally get to see the black-and-white cut thanks to an upcoming re-release.

Sadly, it won’t be gracing the big screen but coming via way of a Blu-ray re-release dubbed the ‘High Octane Collection’; a 6-disc release which is currently available to pre-order via Amazon Germany, and includes not only all four Mad Max movies, but a ‘Black and Chrome’ version of Fury Road.

The black and white version has the same runtime as the theatrical release, but is nevertheless sure to excite fans who’ll be just as eager to delve into the previously unreleased documentaries which will be include in the set, and its four hours of ‘new bonus materials.’

Sadly there don’t appear to be any plans to release the collection, or a stand-alone ‘Black and Chrome’ release in either the US or UK, but Max fan with multi-region players will already be hitting the import button, and getting ready to relive the Oscar-winning film in all its shiny glory.
