Making of The Empire Strikes Back: Trailer

J.W. Rinzler; the man who brought you such books as ‘The Making of Star Wars’, and ‘The Complete Making of Indiana Jones’; has been given a truly unprecedented level of access to materials and archives regarding the second movie in the original Star War trilogy; The Empire Strikes Back; and has uncovered a huge wealth of material with which to pad his next book; ‘The Making of The Empire Strikes Back’.

The book; which will be a 372 page hardback book chronicling all the pre-production notes, and behind the scenes gossip, from what is arguably the most loved of all the Star Wars films; will provide an exclusive look at what really went on during the making of the movie, and includes a huge number of never-before-seen photos, design sketches, paintings, and production notes, as well as interesting behind the scenes anecdotes, interviews, and and insight into the original script.

And it doesn’t look like this book will be simply all praise and no substance, as it even makes note of the extreme tension felt on set during a time when George Lucas (the man who created Star Wars); who decided to make the film completely independently, and finance it himself; was running desperately short of funds.

The book will be hitting shelves in the middle of next month (October 12th to be exact), and is a real must have for any true Star Wars fan; seen as how it contains a wealth of information that threatens to put even the best and most well researched ‘making of’ books to shame; and should be the perfect accompaniment to the Star Wars Blu-rays, which are due to be released next year.
