Matthew McConaughey Joins The Wolf Of Wall Street

While often relegated to cheesy roles in predictable romantic comedies, there’s no denying Matthew McConaughey is a great actor, and has had flashes of brilliance in his career (with Killer Joe proving a much finer example than Magic Mike), so it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise to learn that he’s just signed on to join the latest film from Goodefellas’ director Martin Scorsese; The Wolf Of Wall Street.

Once again starring Scorsese regular Leonardo DiCaprio (Shutter Island), The Wolf Of Wall Street will chart the real-life rise and fall of Wall Street stock broker Jordan Belfort; a man who’s lifestyle of hard-partying and questionable deals eventually saw him brought up on charges.

Adapted from Belfort’s own memoir, and scripted by Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire), The Wolf Of Wall Street will co-star Jonah Hill (The Sitter), Jean Dujardin (The Artist), Rob Reiner (The Story of Us), Jon Favreau (Iron Man), Ethan Suplee (My Name Is Earl), Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead), Margot Robbie (Neighbours), and Kyle Chandler (Super 8), when it’s released next year.
