Buzzing into cinemas today, and based on the wonderful children’s book of the same name, Maya The Bee is a long-awaited feature film which is guaranteed to put a smile on the face of every little bee who goes to see it.

Originally published in 1912, Maya The Bee has gone on to become an international TV phenomenon (airing on TinyPop in the UK), and now, thanks to a German, Austrian, and Australian production will be making the leap to the big screen with a film which sees the busy little bee Maya journeying outside the hive to explore life in the luxurious meadow, before realising the hive’s in trouble; hornets are attacking, and it’s up to Maya, her friend Willy, and the allies she’s made in the meadow to end hostilities, and save the hive from the greedy queen’s advisor.
