Michael J. Fox Re-creates Backs to the Future Teaser Trailer

There have been all sorts of Back to the Future related features and news articles popping up over the past few weeks; including reviews (which started appearing as the first movie in the Back to the Future trilogy gained its theatrical re-release in the U.K.), footage of Eric Stoltz (Pulp Fiction) playing the part of Marty McFly (before the role was re-cast, and Michael J. Fox got the part), and various special features from the forthcoming home release; all serving to promote the release of the 25th anniversary Blu-ray collection, of all three movies; which are now being aided further by Spike TV, and Michel J. Fox himself.

Spike TV has arranged for a special, Back to the Future, 25th anniversary, reunion with Michael J. Fox, Lea Thompson (who played Marty’s mother Lorraine in the trilogy), and Elizabteh Shue (who’s best known for her part in the original Karate Kid, but played Marty’s girlfriend Jennifer in Back to the Future parts II and III; making it only a 21 year reunion for her) to take place at their annual Scream Awards on October 19th.

But to promote the reunion, and the award ceremony itself, Michael J. Fox has starred in a perfect, frame-by-frame recreation of the original Back to the Future teaser trailer (the original trailer can be seen below, followed immediately by the 2010 version), that’s sure to give nostalgic fans yet another reason to smile.

And U.S. fans will also have another reason to smile, thanks to the success of the U.K. theatrical re-release (which saw Back to the Future jump to seventh place at the Box Office in its first weekend), and the general whining of American fans that were annoyed they weren’t getting their own re-release, it’s now getting an extremely limited re-release in the U.S. (only available over two nights, and only in AMC theaters across 40 cities), ahead of the Blu-ray release; which will be hitting shelves in the U.K. on October 25th, and in the U.S. on October 26th.
