Writer/director Jeff Nichols has once again teamed-up with star Michael Shannon (after the pair previously worked together on Mud and Take Shelter) for the brand new thriller Midnight Special; and you can now see the first official Midnight Special teaser trailer below.
Shannon headlines the film as a father who takes his son on the run, after learning the youngster has some rather unusual talents; powers which make him appear a saviour to some, and viewed by others as a horrific threat to humanity. Pursued by government agents, religious sects, and anyone who wants to get their hands on the boy, Shannon attempts to stay one step ahead of his pursuers but struggles to hide his son’s gifts.
Co-starring Sam Shepard (Mud), Kirsten Dunst (Spider-Man), and Joel Edgerton (The Gift), Midnight Special is due to hit US cinemas on March 18th, before making its official UK release date on April 15th.
