With the Resident Evil film franchise now drawing to a close, Milla Jovovich will have time for even more movie projects; the first of which will be James Franco’s dystopian indie film Future World.

The 127 Hours star (Franco) is developing an original idea; following a nobleman in a ruined civilisation trekking across the wasteland, with his faithful bodyguard, on a quest to find medicine for his sick mother; which he had Bruce Thierry Cheung, Jay Davis and Jeremy Cheung develop into a full script for both him and Bruce Chung to direct.

There’s no word on who Jovovich will play in Future World, though both the part of the bodyguard, and the beautiful life-like robot assassin employed by the warlord seeking to destroy the nobleman, sound more than suited to her skill set as an action heroine. She’ll first be seen onscreen in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, which is due to be released in the UK on February 24th next year.
